Quaboag Church, pronounced Kway-bog, sits in the Quaboag River Valley. The river receives its name from Quaboag Pond, an Indian name meaning “red-water.”
Hello, my name is Dean McIsaac, and I’m one of the pastors here at Quaboag. It seems forever-ago now that I graduated from Moody Bible Institute and then Wheaton Graduate School in Illinois, and then served as associate pastor in a Baptist church in Aurora, IL. My wife Terri is a native of Yarmouth, ME, and met me while attending college in New Brunswick, Canada.
In December of ’89 we packed up our home, grabbed our 5 and 1-year old boys, Adam and Scott, and made the move from the Midwest to the Northeast. The idea of planting a church was not only new, but overwhelming and exciting, too. No, we didn’t know what we were doing. Yes, we believed God was up to something. We just didn’t know exactly what or how!
In November of 2010, our new Pastor of Student Ministries, Kyle Sargent, with his wife, Brittany and daughter, Asher, made the move from Boone, NC, to Quaboag. After his time in the Marine Corps, and while completing his bachelors degree at Appalachian State University in Boone, Kyle & Brittany worked with youth in their home church and felt God’s stirring toward New England. God has confirmed their call alongside our family at Quaboag. We are so grateful for their leadership!
Since our beginning, the driving force behind everything God has done at Quaboag Church is a deepening passion to reach out to people throughout our area and by God’s grace, to see them become fully devoted followers of our Savior, Jesus. We believe this is our purpose for being here!
We welcome you to come and experience God’s love and grace for yourself!
